How Vedic Compatibility Works
Vedic compatibility (Kundali Milan) compares two birth charts across 8 dimensions called Koota. Each dimension tests a different aspect of the relationship — from physical attraction to spiritual harmony. Together they form the Ashtakoot system, scoring up to 36 points.
A score above 18 indicates a favorable match. Above 24 is considered excellent. Below 18 may indicate challenges requiring deeper analysis of planetary periods (Dasha) and remedial measures.
